Retry failed app installations for Meta Quest for Business

This article is only applicable to admins with relevant permissions.
You can retry failed installations of apps that you’ve tried to assign to Meta Quest devices in Individual Mode or Shared Mode.
You can attempt app installation 5 times, and you need to wait at least one minute between attempts. If an app installation fails 5 times but you still want to install the app, then remove the app from the device or device preset, wait a few minutes to allow the app to be uninstalled from devices, then assign it to the device or device preset again.

Why an app installation may fail
In Admin Center, if you hover over in the Status column for the app that failed to install, you can learn more about why installation failed.
There are a few reasons why apps can fail to install. Examples:
  • The APK file is corrupt or invalid.
  • The package name you provided for the app does not match the package name of the APK file.
  • The SHA256 hash you provided for the app does not match the SHA calculated on the device during the verification stage of installation.
