Limit access to on-device settings for Shared Mode devices in Meta Quest for Business

This article is only applicable to admins with relevant permissions.
For Meta Quest for Business devices in Shared Mode, you can choose whether an admin passcode is required to edit Wi-Fi, boundary and USB debugging settings. By default, an admin passcode is not required to edit these settings.
If a Shared Mode device is configured independently, then you manage access to on-device settings on a device-by-device basis. If a device is configured by a Shared Mode device profile, then you make changes to the device profile. A device profile’s settings are applied to all devices configured to this profile.
Manage access to on-device settings for Shared Mode devices
  1. Click Devices in the left menu of Admin Center.
  2. Then:
    • If you’re limiting access to on-device settings for a device configured independently in Shared Mode, click the name of the device.
    • If you’re limiting access to on-device settings for a Shared Mode device profile, click Device profiles in the left menu then click the name of the device profile.
  3. Click the Device experience tab.
  4. Click Limit access to on-device settings.
  5. You will be prompted to create an admin passcode for the device or device profile, if you haven’t already done this.
  6. Click the toggles to choose whether to require the admin passcode to change the device’s Wi-Fi settings, reset the boundary and for USB debugging.
  7. Click Save.
