This article is only applicable to admins with relevant permissions.
For organization-managed Meta Quest devices that are configured in Shared Mode, you can choose whether an admin passcode is required to edit certain settings in the headset. These settings include Wi-Fi, USB debugging, travel mode and boundary settings.
By default, an admin passcode is not required to edit these settings.
To manage access to on-device settings for Shared Mode devices:
  1. Click Devices in the left menu of Admin Center.
  2. Then:
    • If you’re limiting access to on-device settings for a device configured independently in Shared Mode, click the name of the device.
    • If you’re limiting access to on-device settings for a Shared Mode device preset, then click Device presets then click the name of the device preset.
  3. Click the Device experience tab.
  4. Click Limit access to on-device settings.
  5. You will be prompted to create an admin passcode for the device or device preset, if you haven’t already done this.
  6. Use the toggles to choose whether to require an admin passcode to change the device’s Wi-Fi settings, reset the boundary and complete USB debugging.
  7. Click Save.
