Give access to Meta products connected in Admin Center to specific people or groups

This article covers how admins can give access to Meta products connected in Admin Center. Alternatively, admins can do this alongside assigning Admin Center access using people presets.
You can manage which people in your organization can access Meta Horizon managed services and business tools (example: Business Manager) via Products & billing in Admin Center. By default:
  • Anyone from your organization who has a managed Meta account in your Admin Center has access to Meta Quest devices.
  • When business tools are connected to Admin Center, the system admin chooses whether to turn on default access (everyone with a managed Meta account has access) or custom access.
You can provide access on an individual basis, by using people groups created in Admin Center, or both.

Change to custom access and give access to an individual or a group
To change to custom access:
  1. Click Products & billing in the left menu of Admin Center.
  2. Click Manage access for the connected product.
  3. If Meta Horizon managed services is a new product for your organization, then select Custom access and click Confirm and connect. If not, or you’re changing from default to custom access for business tools, then click Switch to custom access, review the information and click Continue to manage access.
    • If everyone in your organization has been given access via a people preset, then you will need to edit the people preset to manage access.
  4. To give access to people on an individual basis:
    • In the Individuals tab, click Add people in the top right. Search people you want to give access to and click on their name when it appears. When you’ve selected everyone you want to give access to, click Add.
  5. To give access to people using groups:
    • Make sure you’ve created a people group. Then, in the Groups tab, click Add groups in the top right. Search groups you want to give access to and click on their name when it appears. When you’ve selected all groups you want to give access to, click Add.
Remove a person's or group's access
To remove access:
  1. Click Products & billing in the left menu of Admin Center.
  2. Click Manage access for the connected product.
  3. Click the 3 horizontal dots Options next to the name of the group or person you want to remove access for.
  4. Click Remove access.
  5. Click Remove access to confirm.
Switch back to default access
If you’ve set up custom access but you want to switch back so that everyone with a managed Meta account in your organization has access to Meta Horizon managed services or business tools:
  1. Click Products & billing in the left menu of Admin Center.
  2. Click Manage access for the connected product.
  3. Click the 3 horizontal dots Options in the top right, then click Switch to default access.
  4. Click Confirm and give access to confirm.
