Configure a Meta Quest for Business device independently
This article is only applicable to admins with relevant permissions.
You can configure a device independently in Individual Mode or Shared Mode. You manage an independently configured device’s settings and apps directly. If you don’t want to do this, you can assign device presets.
You can select to configure a device independently if you enroll a device in Admin Center before it’s logged into with a managed Meta account.
Configure a device independently
If a device is not managed by a group or configured by a device preset or third-party enrollment, then it will be configured independently:
- If a device is currently managed by a group, you’ll need to remove the device from the group.
- You also need to remove device presets or the third-party enrollment that configures the device.
