Enroll devices in Meta Horizon managed services in Admin Center

You can enroll devices with a device code in Admin Center. You can only enroll 1 device at a time, and you will need to wear the headset.
Alternatively, you can download and use the Meta Horizon Device Setup app to enroll multiple devices at the same time using data transfer USB cables. Using the app, you can only configure devices in Shared Mode.
It’s possible to allow people in your organization to connect their Meta Quest device to your organization and complete enrollment. After people have done this, their device will be connected to Admin Center. If you don’t want to allow this, you can turn on enrollment lock.

Enroll devices with a device code

Stay seated when putting the headset on, and ensure the headset is fully charged and either new or factory reset. Then, to enroll devices in Admin Center:
  1. Turn on the headset and put it on.
  2. Follow the initial in-device instructions. Do not download the Meta Horizon mobile app.
  3. If the device was purchased as a Meta Horizon managed services device, select Continue when you reach the Connect your headset to your organization screen.
    • If you are repurposing a Meta Quest device for your organization, when you reach the Pair your headset to the Meta Horizon mobile app to continue screen, first select Connect to your organization at the bottom.
  4. You’ll see a 8-digit device code on screen.
  5. On your computer, log into Admin Center then click Devices in the left menu.
  6. Click Enroll devices at the top.
  7. Select how the device will be configured. You can configure it independently or with a device preset or group.
  8. Enter the 8-digit device code.
  9. Choose whether you want someone else to complete device setup with their managed Meta account, or whether you want to complete device setup with your own managed Meta account.
  10. Click Enroll device.
If you chose to complete device setup with your own managed Meta account, then you can complete setup in the headset. If you chose for someone else to complete device setup, then the headset will turn off.
Note: The first time that a managed Meta account is used to log into a Meta Quest device, the person logging in will create a Meta Horizon profile.

How subscriptions are assigned if you use a reseller

  • If your organization uses 1 reseller and has 1 subscription type, then this subscription will be automatically assigned to devices enrolled in Admin Center.
  • If your organization uses multiple resellers and/or multiple subscription types, then you will need to assign a subscription to a device after it is enrolled. If you are using a reseller to manage your subscription, then after enrolling a device you can assign a subscription.
