Turn on two-factor authentication for your managed Meta account
You can turn on two-factor authentication for your managed Meta account if:
- Your system admin hasn’t already required this
- SSO has not been enabled
Using two-factor authentication for your account reduces the risk of an attacker impersonating you and gaining access to your account.
If you turn on two-factor authentication, you'll be asked for a security code each time you try to log into your managed Meta account from a new device. You will receive this code by either text message or an authentication app such as Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile.
Turn on two-factor authentication for your managed Meta account
- Click Password and security in the left menu of Accounts Center.
- Click Two-factor authentication.
- Select either Authentication app or Text message (SMS), then click Next.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for your chosen option.
Note: Two-factor authentication is also known as 2FA, multi-factor authentication, MFA, two-step verification and TFA.
If your two-factor authentication code isn't working
If your two-factor authentication code doesn't work when you try to log in, then you can click Try another way. When you do this, we will send you an email with a confirmation code for you to log into your account.
