Turn on two-factor authentication for your managed Meta account

You can turn on two-factor authentication for your managed Meta account if:
Using two-factor authentication for your account reduces the risk of an attacker impersonating you and gaining access to your account.
If you turn on two-factor authentication, you'll be asked for a security code each time you try to log into your managed Meta account from a new device. You will receive this code by either text message or an authentication app such as Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile.
To turn on two-factor authentication for your managed Meta account:
  1. Log into Accounts Center.
  2. Click Security and loginPassword and security in the left menu.
  3. Click Two-factor authentication.
  4. Select either Authentication app or Text message (SMS), then click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions for your chosen option.
Note: Two-factor authentication is also known as 2FA, multi-factor authentication, MFA, two-step verification and TFA.
