Add and manage a security rule for Meta Quest devices in Admin Center

Creating security rules helps you protect your organization from malware or other security threats when using Meta Quest for Business.
Create a security rule for Meta Quest devices
  1. Click Devices in the left menu of Admin Center.
  2. Click Security in the left menu.
  3. Click New security rule in the top right.
  4. Enter a name for the security rule.
  5. Click the dropdown underneath When the following happens. You can choose as many options as you want from:
    • Root access or jailbreak: Device operating system code has been accessed without permission.
    • Bootloader unlocked: Device bootloader has been unlocked without permission.
    • Verified boot fail: Untrusted code has been detected.
  6. Click the dropdown underneath Take the following action(s). You can choose as many options as you want from:
    • Perform a device wipe
    • Notify IT admin
    • Remove all organization-issued certificates
    • Remove all organization Wi-Fi networks
    • Notify users
  7. Click Create.
Manage a security rule
  1. Click Devices in the left menu of Admin Center.
  2. Click Security in the left menu.
  3. Click next to the security rule you want to manage, then select either Edit rule or Delete rule.
    • If you select Edit rule, then make your changes and click Confirm.
    • If you select Delete rule, then review the information and click Delete. If you’ve applied this security rule to a device profile or Meta Quest device, it will be removed from there too.
