Assign files to Meta Quest devices in Admin Center

After you have added a file to Admin Center, you can assign it to Meta Quest devices in your organization.
This article covers how to assign files to already-created device presets, as well as independently configured devices. Learn how to assign files when creating an Individual Mode or Shared Mode device preset.
Note: Files cannot be accessed on Shared Mode devices with a single-app experience.
Assign files to devices
Changes made to a device preset are applied to all devices that the device preset is assigned to. Changes made to an independently configured device are only applied to that device.
You can either directly assign the file, or assign it by updating settings for the device preset or independently configured device.
To directly assign the file:
- Go to
Manage files in Admin Center.
- You can also click
Apps & content in the left menu in Admin Center, then click
Manage files.
- You can also click
- Click
Options to the right of the file, then select Assign file.
- Search for the name of the device or device preset and click its name when it appears.
- Click Assign.
To assign files by updating settings for the device preset or independently configured device:
- Go to either
Device presets or
Managed devices (for independently configured devices) in Admin Center.
- Click the name of either the device preset or device.
- Click the Files tab.
- Click Assign files.
- Search for the name of the file and click its name when it appears.
- Click Assign.
