Enable or disable casting from your organization’s Meta Quest devices

If you’re an admin with permissions to change casting settings, then you can choose whether people in your organization can cast a real-time view from their managed Meta Quest to a web browser. This permission also controls whether people can take screenshots or screen recordings.
This permission needs to be turned on if an admin wants to start and view casts from multiple Meta Quest devices using Facilitator Suite.
Note: Turning off the casting permission does not control settings in third-party apps. This means people may still be able to cast or take screenshots or screen recordings in third-party apps, such as apps installed from APK files or Meta Horizon Store.

Edit access to casting

To edit people's access to casting from their managed Meta Quest:
  1. Click Devices in the left menu of Admin Center.
  2. Then:
    • If you’re editing access for an independently configured device, then click the name of the device.
    • If you’re editing access for a device preset, then click Device presets and then click the name of the device preset.
  3. In the Details tab, click Edit to the right of Device permissions.
  4. Use the toggle next to Allow people in your organization to cast from their device to turn this permission on or off.
  5. Click Save.
