Select the login method for managed Meta accounts in your organization

This article is only applicable to admins with relevant permissions.
By default, if a person’s managed Meta account uses a domain that’s included in your SSO settings, then the person will log in with SSO. If not, then they will log in with a password.
However, you can change an account’s authentication method to either:
  • Password only: This user will always use a password to log in, even if SSO is enabled.
  • Single sign-on preferred: SSO will be used when available. Otherwise, this user will log in with a password instead.
Note: If your accounts are synced with an identity provider, then any changes you make may be overwritten.
Change an individual’s login method
  1. Go to Directory in Admin Center.
  2. Click More to the right of the account, then select Edit person’s details.
  3. Click Edit Edit next to Authentication method.
  4. Select Password only or Single sign-on preferred, then click Save.
Change login methods in bulk

  5. Return to where you were in Admin Center. In the box below Import changes, either drag and drop your file or choose the file on your device.
