You can invite a developer to share private apps with your organization’s Admin Center. This means developers can upload apps to Meta Quest Developer Center, then share them directly to your Admin Center. You can then assign these apps to devices in your organization.
To invite a developer to upload and share private apps:
- Click
Apps & content in the left menu of Admin Center.
- Click
Invite developer on the left.
- Click Send email.
- Enter the developer’s email.
- Choose whether to share your organization key at the same time. Developers need this to share private apps to your Admin Center.
- You can also do this at a later point by clicking Share key in

Inviting a developer to share a private app to your Admin Center does not give the developer access to your Admin Center.
You can also add private apps from APK files without using a developer, and add Meta Horizon Store apps.
Accept a private app from a developer
When a developer shares an app to your Admin Center, you have to accept it. To do this:
- Click on your notifications in Admin Center, or view pending invitations at the top of
Manage apps.
- Click on the invitation, then click Add to accept.
- Any apps you add to Admin Center will be scanned for compatibility with Shared Mode. There will be a notice informing you of compatibility in Admin Center. If you add an incompatible app to a Shared Mode device, the app may not function properly.
Private apps do not undergo formal review by Meta. All private apps distributed through a business channel must comply with applicable Meta terms and policies (including the best practices included in the Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences), and Meta reserves the right to take action if they do not comply. Review the Private App Policies page for more details.
