Change the password for your managed Meta account
This advice is only for people who log in with their email address and a password, rather than via single sign-on (SSO) through an identity provider.
To change the password for your managed Meta account:
- Click Password and security in the left menu of Accounts Center.
- Click Change password.
- Write your current password in the Current password box.
- Write what you want your new password to be in the New password box.
- Write your password again in the Re-type new password box.
- Click Change password.
Your password must be at least 8 characters long. It must also include at least 1 uppercase or lowercase letter, number and special character. If the password you enter doesn’t meet our criteria, then there will be an error message telling you why.
If you enter an incorrect password more than 20 times, you won’t be able to try again for a period of time.
Admins cannot set a default password for other people’s accounts. People choose their own password when they activate their account.
