Organize apps for Shared Mode on your organization’s Meta Quest devices
This article is only applicable to admins with relevant permissions.
After you have assigned apps to a Shared Mode device or device preset, you can order them and create collections. This determines how apps will be displayed in the Shared Mode device.
Order apps
To put apps in the order you want them to appear in the Shared Mode device:
- Go to
Devices in Admin Center.
- Then:
- If you’re ordering apps for an independently configured device, click the name of the device.
- If you’re ordering apps for a device preset, click
Device presets in the left menu then click the name of the device preset.
- Click the Apps tab.
- Click either Assign apps or Manage apps, then select Reorder apps.
- Click and hold the app you want to move, and drop it to the new place in the order.
Create a collection
You can also organize apps into collections. To do this:
- Go to
Devices in Admin Center.
- Then:
- If you’re creating a collection for an independently configured device, click the name of the device.
- If you’re creating a collection for a device preset, click
Device presets in the left menu then click the name of the device preset.
- Click the Apps tab.
- Click Collections.
- Click Manage collections, then select Create collection.
- After you have created collections, you can also click Reorder collections to change the order that collections appear in the device.
- Enter a name for the collection, then click Next.
- Add apps from the device preset to the collection. When you have done this, you can change the order of apps in the collection. Click Next.
- Click Create.
After you have created a collection, you can click
to the right of it to make required changes.
