If your organization uses a reseller to manage a Meta Horizon managed services plan, then you can have fixed term subscriptions. Customers who are subscribed to managed services through Meta for Education can also have device lifetime access subscriptions.
Device lifetime access is a non-transferable subscription for the useful life of the device, so long as the applicable software and services are available and maintained by Meta. See Terms.
Beginning February 26, 2025, Meta will no longer offer usage-based subscriptions with variable billing based on the number of devices enrolled.
Note: The terms for your reseller’s management of your organization’s Meta Horizon managed services are directly agreed between your organization and the reseller.
Fixed term subscriptions
Your organization pays for a set number of subscriptions to Meta Horizon managed services for a set period.
Fixed term subscriptions are paid upfront.
If a device’s subscription expires, then you will be prompted to assign a new subscription in Admin Center before the device factory resets. If you need to renew your subscription, contact your reseller.
Device lifetime access subscriptions
Device lifetime access subscriptions are only available to customers who are subscribed to managed services through Meta for Education. These subscriptions are paid upfront.

After a device lifetime access subscription has been assigned to a device, it cannot be reassigned. However, if you encounter a hardware issue and Meta replaces your device, you will be able to transfer the device lifetime access subscription to the replacement device.
