We may lock your work.meta.com account if we suspect unusual activity. This managed Meta account is the one given to you by your organization or school.
- Learn what to do if your personal account (not connected to where you go to work or school) is locked.
Suspicious activity may relate to the IP address of a login attempt, or unusual activity after logging in. This also includes activity on products that you log into with this account, such as one of your organization’s Meta Quest devices.
The way you get back into your account depends on how you usually log in and whether you’re an admin for your organization’s managed accounts.
How to regain access if you’re not an admin
- If either you log into your account with a password and your admin has verified the domain you log in with, or you log in using SSO (example: your Google account), then in some cases you’ll receive an email to unlock your account. We may also ask your admin to investigate the issue.
- If you log into your account with a password and your admin hasn’t verified the domain you log in with, then we will ask your admin to investigate the issue.
How to regain access if you are an admin
- If you are the only admin for your organization’s managed accounts, then fill in and submit this form.
- If you are not the only admin, then another admin will need to unlock your account.
Note: Suspended accounts are different than locked accounts.
